Birth date is consistent with marriage record and death records, but her headstone in Gjellerup Kirkegård says July 9.
From Jens and Birthe Stampe:
She was living with Christen and Maren when Maren died. After Christen was left alone with Jens and little Signe Magdalene, Christen and Magdalene married.
Her children carry the surname “Stampe” after the place she came from within No Sogn.
Magda wanted to return to Jylland, so the family moved from Ringsebølle to Gjellerup Sogn in Hammerum (1907). They built a new farm which was almost an exact copy of their first farm, Brændegaard. The new farm is still owned by a member of the family, Erik Stampe Jensen and wife Ingrid.
