Parents were Jens Præst, Nisset, and Unknown Wife (b abt 1701, d 5 Mar 1747, Nisset, Lemming, Hids, Viborg, Danmark1554). Father remarried to Johanne Jensdatter on 30 Sep 1747 in Lemming, Hids, Viborg, Danmark (S176)1555
CENSUS 1787 (Nisset Bÿe, Lemming, Viborg S180)790 gives her age as 42.
CENSUS 1801 (Nisset, Lemming, Viborg S181)791 gives her age as 56.

The only Mette Jensdatter born 1744-1748 in Lemming is this one.
There is another Mette Jensdatter born 1743 but she would be too old for all of the Census records & the death record for our Mette.
There are records in Lemming back to 1716 but it will take some time to sort out Mette’s parents and siblings. There seems to be a Jens Pedersen/Knudsen? also a Jens Elling. Who’s who?
