Shown arriving in Hjortshøj with his parents in 1854 (Hjortshøj Tilgangs Liste 1854 n 8 S73),965 about 6 months old. There is a note that he was vaccinated on 29 Aug 1854.
His move back to Feldballe is not recorded in the Hjortshøj Afgangs Liste, but he does not appear on CENSUS 1860 (Hesselballe, Hjortshøj, Randers S88)70 with his family. Instead, on CENSUS 1860 (Feldballe Mark, Feldballe, Randers S103)966 he is back in Feldballe, living with his grandmother (mother’s mother) Mette Marie Mortensdatter (b 30 Jul 1797) and her second husband Anders Sørensen (b 4 May 1816), as “pleiebarn i søns sted”.
By the time of his Confirmation in 1868, he had moved to Hjortshøj with his parents.
