CENSUS 1801 (Awlsgaarden Hjørtshøjlund, Hjortshøj, Randers S131)798 At the time of the 1801 Census Laurs and Anne Kierstine were living separately: she with his parents in Hesselballe and he as Tjenestekarl on Awisgaarden Hjortshøjlund. Age at time of census was given as 28.
CENSUS 1834 (Hesselballe, Hjortshøj, Randers S132)799 gives his age as 63.
CENSUS 1845 (Hesselballe, Hjortshøj, Randers S133)800 gives his age as 73 and birthplace as “her i sognet”.
In CENSUS 1855 (Hesselballe, Hjortshøj, Randers S106)677 his age is given as 82; he is a widower living with his daughter Ane Marie.
DEATH (Hesselballe, Hjortshøj) age 70-1/2??. This is the only Laurs Pedersen who died in Hesselballe 1855 (last census) to 1873 (100th birthday). No similar names in that age range. The age notation could be an error: he would have been 90.
