In the 1787 Census (Præstegården, Mejrup, Ringkøbing) she is listed as “Madmoder” (stepmother) and the children are all marked as “Barn af første ægteskab”. Not sure why this is, as there does not appear to have been another marriage for Pastor Hegelund during this time, and no break in the babies, one every 2 years!
